Written by The cafeteria was the next section of Lorain High School to come down. It looks like something took a huge bite out of the south side of the building.
And even though I never attended LHS (actually, I guess I took 3 summer school classes there), seeing this piece of history in the condition it was in, I felt a certain sadness taking these photos.
Thank you so much for taking the time to document the demise of Lorain High School. I appreciate being able to follow the “progress?” from a distance. It is indeed a sad time for the city of Lorain and their school system. It is unfortunate that circumstances have led to this. Let’s hope that the newest “suggestion” (elimination of another high school in Lorain) meets with more positive protests than those that happened when Lorain High School was demoted out of existance.
