It’s come to my attention that you have me confused with my friend, Brian Hazelett. You apparently gave him some grief as you believed he was the guy that took pictures of houses around the City and did nothing but complain.
You got the wrong guy.
Brian’s main concern is houses that are structurally unsafe. He’s got a much better eye for those things, and he’s much more aware of houses throughout the 2nd Ward. He and I drove around that part of the City and he knew exactly where these houses were. Exactly.
I’m more of a drive-around-town-looking type of guy. When I find’em, I shoot’em and post’em. When I was doing this last year, Bill Desvari was pretty happy having a roving set of eyes finding these houses. I was another employee, so to speak, that he didn’t have to pay.
And you know what?
I got results.

Remember this one on Broadway? I featured it in a Fame It-Shame It article.
It’s gone now.
How ’bout this one on Leavitt Road?

Gone, too.

This property?
Featured.
Now?

Let’s see what else I got.

This,

and this are on Mayor Krasienko’s Action Plan.
Yup, I did articles on those, too.
After writing an article on the cracking and crumbling pieces falling off the Spitzer Hotel,

crews installed netting to protect passers-by.
There are more properties that I’ve done that have been addressed. There are even more that I’ve done that still HAVEN’T been addressed. Some that are so horrible, that I can’t imagine why they haven’t been cited yet. How do I know? Because there hasn’t been a damn thing done to any of them since I first saw them.
If what I’m doing is something that you have to complain about, then maybe you’re not doing enough.
And I have some news for you.
I’m not stopping ’til there’s nothing left to shoot.
And from the looks of things, that won’t be anytime soon.

Trouble is that most people scan articles or pay attention to soundbite information without getting the whole story and don’t differentiate and then one individual can end up with the blame or kudos meant for another and the ensuing ripple effect…. one reason so many use other names on the internet, the danger is that those of use who like Brian use his own name can be linked with people and groups of people ….been there done that…..thanks for clarifying Mark ( always Henery to me
In the end the only thing you take to your grave is your name and I get very protective of mine!
Another one you “got” was on Arkansas Ave. It’s been torn down, the ground filled in and planted with grass.
Thanks for that, Kaye!!
Thanks for the clarification Henrey.
Ummmm, what is this that Loraine called you Mark?
Mark? Henrey?, Henrey? Mark?
Has the whole world gone MAD?
